Regulatory Compliance & Permitting
Compliance audits conducted by Allied Environmental Consultants provide a thorough evaluation of operations maintenance and hazardous material management practices. An audit will determine a facility’s compliance with applicable environmental regulations, and the associated permitting or reporting requirements. We will evaluate the facility’s established environmental programs and plans, providing methods to streamline systems and reduce duplication of efforts. Allied Environmental Consultants helps clients understand the regulatory requirements and minimize compliance problems and costs.
Environmental Permits and Plans
Allied Environmental Consultants assists clients in the preparation of regulatory permits required by the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and state and local programs. We also prepare plans required by environmental agencies for Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWP2), Solid Waste Facility Operations; Groundwater Monitoring, Solid Waste Management; and Emergency Response.
Environmental Management Systems
An environmental management system consists of the environmental policies, objectives, standards, and procedures established for a facility. Allied Environmental Consultants can assist clients by focusing and streamlining an appropriate environmental management system. We can evaluate or create effective procedures for hazardous and non-hazardous waste or materials tracking systems; record keeping systems; compliance schedules; and staff responsibilities. Allied Environmental Consultants also can develop a comprehensive environmental policies manual tailored to the specific needs of a facility.
Regulatory Agency Negotiation
Many aspects of environmental work require effective negotiation with regulatory agencies. Allied Environmental Consultants has an established reputation for negotiating realistic, cost-saving solutions. We have successfully represented clients during many types of negotiations, including Certificates of Release; Consent Orders; permit applications; and Superfund Site cost settlements.
Storage Tank Compliance
Allied Environmental Consultants provides guidance in the compliance and management of underground and aboveground storage tank systems. We have the technical experience to evaluate, design, and administer the system upgrades that were required of all UST owners by December of 1998. Aboveground storage tanks have a unique set of requirements that must be addressed in the coming years, including revisions under Oil Pollution Act (OPA) 90 and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
